My name is Kevin Carter, born and raised on the Southside of Chicago. I am a Washington Park community native and a Carter Cougar, having graduated from William W. Carter in 2005. I later attended and graduated from Chicago Vocational Career Academy (CVS) in 2009, Southern Illinois University (Carbondale) in 2015, and One School Advertising Portfolio School in 2023.
Life’s ebbs and flows have brought me to my current role as a copywriter for the advertising agency Ogilvy Chicago. There, I've had the opportunity to work with various clients across a wide range of industries. Before assuming the role of a copywriter, I engaged in various independent projects, including documentaries, short films, fashion designs, and set designs.
Additionally, I Am the founder of two small businesses, Kevin Carter Chicago Inc. and Effable Arts Inc. and serve as the President of the nonprofit organization Dreams in Progress Inc. My ultimate goal is to solve problems, push boundaries, and construct universes.
